The DynaDrum drum filter is a self-cleaning microfiltration filter intended for the removal of suspended solids and is available in a variety of sizes and designs to successfully adapt to the needs of each application. Filtration is by gravity with minimal pressure drop. Low operating costs combined with reliable construction make up an equipment characterized by low life cycle costs.
The DynaDrum filter incorporates FRP filter frames mounted around a rotating drum of five different diameters: 0.6m, 0.8m, 1.2m, 1.6m and 2.0m and provides up to 22.5m² of total filter area per machine.
The polyester fabric filter material with selectivity up to 10 micron is firmly seated in the filter frame and evenly stretched to maximize its life and minimize the number of tie points.
The DynaDrum filter drum rotates through a suitable worm gear and is driven by a special chain fitted to the circumference of the drum. The liquids to be processed pass with a natural flow from the inside to the outside of the drum and at the filter outlet there is an overflow that maintains the minimum level of liquids in the filter.
The function of the filter and the need for backwashing is controlled by the inlet level to the filter. The washing sludge resulting from the reverse washing is collected inside the drum in a dedicated washing channel, the outlet of which is led out through the central axis of the drum.
The filter is supplied complete and ready for operation with a backwash system with pump, piping, strainer type safety filter and backwash nozzle assembly. The filter is fitted with a control panel that ensures its automatic operation and also includes level automation to automatically start backwashing based on the level at the inlet. The rotation speed of the drum is regulated by means of an inverter.
